Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejeansays making a solo sex tape as a teenager was the "worst mistake of my life."

Prejean is making the talk-show rounds this week to promote her book "Still Standing," and the tape, which she says she made for her then-boyfriend when she was 17, has been a topic of conversation at pretty much every stop. On Tuesday's "Today" show, she told Meredith Vieira that "you can call it whatever you want," but she repeatedly noted that the video features her alone.

She also told Sean Hannity on his Fox News show Monday night that "It's embarrassing, and it's humiliating to be talking about this on national TV."

Which raises the question of why she doesn't just stop talking about it. Because -- oh yeah -- she has a book to sell. 

Word of the tape's existence surfaced last week courtesy of TMZ, and it was reportedly a factor in the settlement between Prejean and the Miss California USA pageant over their dueling lawsuits. That's one thing Prejean says she can't talk about.
